Immediate danger in Australia? Call 000. Caduo does not monitor emergencies or dispatch help.

Read the full policy below.

1. Purpose and scope

This policy explains how Caduo receives reports, assesses risk, moderates content and accounts, supports appeals, preserves evidence and cooperates with authorities. It applies across the Caduo app and to off-platform conduct that creates a credible risk to a Caduo member or the community.

2. Safety by design

Caduo combines member controls, professional verification, technical safeguards, automated risk signals and human moderation. Controls include blocking and unmatching, reporting, profile and media review, account-status restrictions, date-safety tools, App Check, server-enforced permissions and auditable moderator actions.

Verification and moderation reduce risk but cannot establish every fact or predict future behaviour. Members should independently assess whether to communicate or meet.

3. How to report

Members can report profiles and conduct in the app. Reports may also be sent to admin@psychtrack.com.au with the subject “Caduo safety report”. Include the account involved, what happened, when it happened, the immediate risk and any relevant screenshots or other evidence. Do not place yourself at further risk to collect evidence.

Call 000 for immediate danger. Reports of image-based abuse or serious online harm may also be made to the eSafety Commissioner at esafety.gov.au/report.

4. Blocking and immediate controls

Blocking is private: Caduo does not tell the blocked member who blocked them. It prevents direct in-app contact and removes an active match. A member may block without filing a report. Where a credible urgent risk is identified, Caduo may temporarily restrict an account or content while assessment continues.

5. Assessment and triage

Reports are prioritised according to the potential and immediacy of harm. Factors include:

  • threats to life, child safety or physical safety;
  • sexual violence, stalking, coercion or image-based abuse;
  • fraud, exploitation, impersonation and account compromise;
  • hate, harassment and repeated unwanted contact;
  • professional confidentiality, abuse of authority and patient-safety concerns;
  • evidence quality, context, relevant history and risk of recurrence; and
  • whether urgent preservation or external referral is required.

Authorised moderators may review the report, relevant account and profile information, content supplied with the report, available technical signals, prior enforcement history and communications reasonably necessary to understand the allegation. Access is limited by role and logged.

6. Fair process

Caduo does not assume that a report is true merely because it was submitted. We assess available information consistently and proportionately. Where safe and appropriate, a member may be asked for context or told the substance of a concern before a final decision.

Advance notice may be withheld where it could increase risk, expose a reporter, compromise evidence, enable evasion or conflict with law. Reporters receive an outcome update where appropriate, but privacy and safety may prevent disclosure of another member’s information or the full reasons for action.

Knowingly false, malicious or retaliatory reports may themselves breach the Community Guidelines.

7. Outcomes

Depending on severity and history, Caduo may take no action, provide safety guidance, issue a warning, remove or restrict content, limit features or discovery, require reverification, revoke a badge, suspend or terminate an account, prevent re-registration, preserve evidence, or refer a matter to law enforcement, emergency services, a regulator or professional body where lawful and appropriate.

We seek to apply comparable outcomes to comparable conduct while accounting for context, vulnerability, intent, impact and recurrence. Caduo may reassess an outcome when material new evidence becomes available.

8. Appeals

A suspended member may submit an appeal through the app, explaining the claimed error and providing relevant information. Appeals are reviewed by an authorised moderator who was not the sole original decision-maker where reasonably practicable. The reviewer considers the original material, stated reasons, new evidence and whether the outcome was supported and proportionate.

The member is notified of the appeal outcome. A completed appeal does not prevent Caduo from correcting a clear error or considering genuinely new evidence, and it does not restrict rights available under law.

9. Automated systems

Caduo may use automated signals to identify spam, suspicious activity, unsafe uploads, unusual access or possible policy violations and to prioritise review. Automated signals support human decision-making. Material account enforcement decisions are subject to authorised human review, and suspended members can appeal.

10. Evidence, privacy and retention

Safety information is used only for safety, security, legal compliance and closely related purposes. We minimise access, restrict moderator permissions and keep audit records. Relevant information may be preserved during an active matter, appeal, legal hold or lawful investigation. Standard retention periods appear in the Data Retention Schedule and Privacy Policy.

We may disclose information where a member consents, where reasonably necessary to lessen or prevent a serious threat, or where required or authorised by law. Requests from authorities are assessed for validity and scope.

11. Child safety and illegal content

Caduo is adults-only. Suspected child sexual exploitation material, grooming, terrorism material, credible threats or other illegal content may be disabled, preserved and reported to the appropriate authority. Caduo does not notify a person if doing so would be unlawful or could compromise safety or an investigation.

12. Accountability

Caduo maintains moderator roles, access controls and decision records; reviews patterns of reports and appeals; tests safety workflows; and updates policies when risks, technology or law change. We use aggregated safety information to assess reporting accessibility, response quality, recurrence and systemic risks.

Private date check-ins

A check-in is a personal reminder, not a monitored distress service. The other date participant cannot see your check-in time, notes or response and is never alerted by a support response. A shared date proposal contains only the meeting arrangements and proposal status. Use the trusted-contact share sheet or contact emergency services directly when needed. Caduo does not dispatch assistance.
